Walrus Tusk Necklace
An Alaskan scrimshaw artist unearths these amazing artifacts from St. Lawrence Island. The fossilized walrus tusk pieces were chipped off as ancient Inuit carved them into tools. This necklace features one of these walrus tusk fossils hanging on an oxidized sterling silver chain that is incorporated with an Indian brass trade bead.
The chain measures 28 inches, and the pendant hangs about 2.5 inches. All necklaces in the TASI Men's Collection have durable lobster style clasps.
This piece is handmade in our Portland, OR studio. A slight natural variation in size, color, and shape of the tusk may occur.
This is a limited edition design.
